Join us for a screening of the film Zoot Suit [R rated], by Luis Valdex.
Synopsis: When barrio leader Henry Reyna and his friends are unjustly convicted on circumstantial evidence, activist lawyers Alice Bloomfield and George Shearer fight the blatant racially motivated miscarriage of justice to win them their freedom.
In celebration of United Against Hate Week, SMPL and the City of San Mateo have partnered to share this film with the San Mateo community.
