At 1pm in Cinema Plaza, watch our first ever LIVE BOBA JUDGING! Local celebrities/Boba lovers Martin Yan (Star of PBS’s “Yan Can Cook”), Wendy Hsu (Owner, Sanrio Cupertino & other Sanrio locations), and Mayor Adam Loraine will decide their favorite tea drink based on visual presentation, tea taste, and overall taste.
Following the Live Boba Judging, join Motion Arts Center and instructor Rhazel for line dancing at 2:15pm in Cinema Plaza!
Have fun on B Street with family activities and community booths! Booths include: San Mateo Public Library, Clawesome, Core Taekwondo, The Cupping Box, Joy in the Air Balloons, BlissFusion, Yan Can Cook, C2 Education, CAM Edu, Motion Arts Center, Florian Orthodontics, Coastal Jewels Boutique, and Youth Advisory Council (from City of San Mateo Parks & Recreation Dept).
At the Downtown San Mateo Association booth, you can vote for “Downtown San Mateo’s Favorite Boba”! Plus, get a prize when you present proof of boba purchase on 4/26!

Parking may get tricky during the event. We recommend biking, using public transportation, or parking in the following garages during peak hours:
- Kiku Garage, 400 E. 5th Avenue
- Verkada’s garage, 406 3rd Ave
- Transit Center Garage underground (San Mateo Caltrain Station), 403 1st Ave
- 2nd and El Camino Garage, 8 2nd Ave
