Fantasy pumpkins\, aka Cinderella\, last a lot longer than a traditional carving pumpkin and have a flat top.\n​\nInstructor: Cathy\nCathy has been working with a small group of SMAS volunteers to make succulent topped pumpkins for the last three years to sell in the nursery. Last year Cathy taught many of our new volunteers how to make mini succulent topped pumpkins. Cathy’s hobbies & interests (not in any order of preference) include ceramics\, beading\, sewing\, crochet\, upholstery\, gardening\, swimming\, bowling and walking her Bichon Bolo’s. She is also on her second three year term on the SMAS Board of Directors and is the SMAS Treasurer.

For all those who face climate anxiety\, it’s time to Make it Real. \nThe rally consists of a march around downtown San Mateo\, followed by a meeting at San Mateo’s Central Park\, where both students and politicians will present a series of impassioned speeches. We will learn and study the physical actions involved in the breathing process; such as lungs\, diaphragm\, nostrils etc. On a deeper level we will explore the subtleties of the breath such as the 4 parts of one full breath\, the soothing and calming effects on the nervous systems and along the path the positive changes of mental attitudes toward the self and life. \nIn time we become aware of the sanctity within and without. The immune system gets stronger as we consciously nourish the blood with fresh oxygen\, the rhythm and sounds of the breath calm the nervous systems and a sense of well-being infuses.
