Danica Gordils, new owner of Aldo’s Pizza, spoke with the Downtown San Mateo Association and the San Mateo Area Chamber of Commerce as part of the 2024 Shop Small to Win Big campaign. When Aldo Scaliucci opened his pizzeria on Norfolk St. in 1958 it was one of the first in San Mateo. Since then, this restaurant has remained a favorite for generations of San Mateans, especially those in the Shoreview district. Danica Gordils recently took over ownership and continues to serve the hungry families who love this locally owned spot.
